S.J. Cristea
S.J. Cristea holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics and Cognitive Science from the University of Toronto. She started out creating stories through numbers as a data scientist. When she’s not writing, she can be found re-reading her favourites, knitting ugly sweaters for her dog, and waiting for the cat distribution system to work its magic.
Her debut novel, HOW TO SAVE A DOG FROM THE UNDERWORLD, is a fantasy rom-com following a necromancer who is willing to go to hell and back for her dog (literally). It will be published in the US and Canada by HarperCollins, who pre-empted rights in a significant six-figure deal, in the UK by Penguin Michael Joseph, who won a four-way auction, and in eleven translation languages around the world.
